SGI Canteen Day

Hi guys....

Here is something to share. Last week i attended our school's "Canteen Day" on the 16 July 2011. The last "Canteen Day" i remember going to was in 2002 when some of our batch mates were still in lower 6 science and we put up the chicken chop stall which made quite a hefty collection. 9 years since the last "Canteen Day", i stepped back to our beloved Alma Mater again. What a joyous feeling it was.

Our school has changed a bit as i dont remember having tiles in the school hall and the canteen. The newly renovated basketball court looked awesome too. I had a chance to visit the Form 1 and Form 3 classrooms in the new block. Looks like student number per class has come down to 24-26. Gone the days when we had 40 of us crammed up in one class which was way more fun then having less student like nowadays.

I walked around the school a lot, remembering all the wonderful memories i had here. Students are still as enthusiastic as before. Met some of our teachers, Pn.Nazian (Chemistry), Pn.Rima(Moral), Pn.Kunavathi(Moral), Mr.Rama(PJ) and Mr.Sri Rengan(History). It was wonderful to meet up with them. And i felt so touched when they still remember me after all this years. Our old teachers are still so dedicated towards the school. They were there cleaning up the school after the canteen day had ended. So sad that most of our other teachers have already retired. Wish i could have met more of them.

Going back to school after soo long probably was one of the happiest moment in my life in these recent years. How i miss it all so much. In 4 more years our school will be celebrating its 100 years. Hope our batch can do something, just a suggestion. This whole week i just couldn't shut up about our school. So, while browsing the net, i found a few videos about our school. Paintball

Any of you guys tried paintball?

Recently my guys kinda addicted with it. So gonna have a few rounds soon.

I had my first taste of paint balling last few weeks. I had a coupled of headshots and I could not imagine how it would end up if I were hit on unprotected areas.

Overall it's way better than Counter Strike minus the pain. I'm gonna update a few photos next round of my games.

Let me start this years post, since no one posted after Kean Lee's wedding.

CNY came and went, and gladly i got the chance to meet up with my fellow schoolmates. Its been so long since i last met them. Cant imagine that one of my schoolmate is married with a daughter. For those who doesnt know, try and guess who?

From what i gathered, most of us concentrate in KL and some in Penang. All of us admit that we are too "busy" with our own stuff and din make the initiative to have a gathering. Haha.. Well let me see if i can start to organise one. Shall we?

This year seems like a bad year with economic crisis around the corner. I dunno about u guys, but i am sticking with my company until the end of 2009. Then I'll see if i can get any chance to work overseas. How about u guys? What's your plan?

Has anyone been to Mount Kinabalu before? I am going this June to try and reach the top. Any advice from u guys? All i heard is tough tough tough. Wish me luck. I'll post my achievement when i come back. Haha..

Samuel: I have no idea what is happening/happened to him. Haven't seen/hear from him for ages.

Kah Mun: Enjoying life working shift i suppose. Even if he's not enjoying it he should be. What else can he do?

Yong Sheng: Lives less than 10km away from my room but doesn't wanna meet up. His reason (or rather excuse) - he is already attached and he is very busy with his other half.

Ee Tzen: working with his dad.

Wang Li: god knows what happened to him

Min Chuan: I heard he has changed (for the better i hope)... haven't seen him since last year.

Kean Yap: Been avoiding my calls whenever I go to Penang.

guess what guys, yesterday was the most amazing day of my life...
last month i got the ticket for the champions league finals through the online bidding...
getting the ticket was already an amazing thing..
as manchester uniteds die hard fan, to have united playing in the finals was a great gift for me...
yesterday i was in the stadium.... watching manchester play chelsea right in front of my eyes..
the feeling was unbelievable....
but when they won the finals and lifted the trophy, my head almost exploded...
i was there in the finals and the excitement i went through, no words can describe it..
i'm still euphoric...
hahahahaha...
so to all the manchester supporters out there...

Its been quite some time since i post too. Haha.. kinda busy myself. Anyway, how is everybody? I din get to meet up with most of you guys last CNY. Now all in working mode.. so all will be taking leaves according to company's schedule.. meaning might not suit everybody.. :( Haha.. that is life.. I had a short trip back to Taiping last week. Taiping is still wonderful and always as comfortable as it is for us to call a place home. Driving around the town was a bit frustrated with drivers/motorist who often seems confused that rides in the middle of the roads with no signal indication when they doing a turn.

Now, a little update for you guys, Here are the 2 new hypermarket that are coming to our town.

I am wondering.......what is going to happen to the other 2 supermarket?

I predict a massive traffic jam in our town in the near future.
By the way, our friend Andrew Tan has came up with his own blog site.

He likes cycling but reckons that, like an other average person, he has done about 500km of cycling.

Have wheels will travel: Law posing for a photo at the Devil's Kitchen Lake in Illinois on Day 28 of his journey from the United States.At the Duke University in North Carolina, where Law, 22, graduated in biomedical engineering and economics, it hit him that it would be a great idea to see the world on wheels.
He spent his entire fourth year researching for equipment and routes, working on raising money and talking to people who had done similar trips.
And, on May 28, he started from the United States on his great cycling adventure heading back home to Taiping, Perak.
He pedalled off from Los Angeles, reaching Washington DC in 38 days, covering a distance of 5,625km.
“Flying does not really count since you experience isolated regions instead of experiencing how they connect to each other,” he said.
“Travelling in a motorised vehicle is common and does not allow you the many nuances of travel like the sounds, smell and contact with people.
“Walking is too slow. I do want to get on with life, so cycling seemed perfect,” he said in a phone interview.
“I like cycling. I have some savings, no girlfriend or job or commitments. It is the best time to do it and here I am,” he said.
He cycles about 150km daily and his daily routine begins between 5.45am and 6.30am, stopping at about 7.30pm. He takes a three-hour break in the middle of the day.
Yesterday, he flew to Dublin, Ireland, to begin the European leg of the journey. He has another 15,000km to go.
He said that he would like to see emerging from this adventure was a charitable effort involving international and domestic organisations, and said that matters were being worked out to channel funds to a few such organisations in Malaysia and the Mae Tao Clinic in Myanmar.

I, as one of the contributor of this blog, am guilty for neglecting my duties to post, update, and everything there is to do in this blog. Though, allow me to first explain my reasons of my absentee before all of you make your verdict.

Tracing back to my last post in this blog (literally only, not that i really trace back), from the date of the post, i had gathered all the possible reasons that could explained my absences from my duties in this blog. I had been busy with my assigments which most of them i had procastinated it till the last minute of the date due. (My friend once said: if you did your work in the last minute, then you only need 1 minute to complete your work. Ya, crap). Therefore, most of my time day and night were occupied with the assignment works, with excess time for eat, drink, bath and shit only. Dont be fooled by my MSN status during that time, what were tmnut screamyx for, 24hour online (in my case, busy) status of course.

Then there is of course my final year project aka FYP. Being in my final semester of my studies, it was one of my obligation to complete a FYP for me to graduate. My procastinating behaviour kicked in again even in this important work. Though, luckily enough, i managed it in the end.

Now, i am already back in Taiping, writing this in ViVi cafe, since i have completed every obligation needed for me to graduate my studies. With that, i ~~immediately~~ write this when i had the chance to online. So i think i deserve some credit or something for this. With this reason, i believed that my neglecting of duties are justiceable and can be pardoned.

LOL, u all can either read all the above stuff or just skip it, i just got nothing better to do....hehe

Early Wishes

I am back in Skudai already, started lectures already, even on the first day also already divide into group and receive assignments(Mun, somemore say 1st week ponteng-ponteng hor), but takpa oso la, nothing much to worry about.

Nothing much to post about, just want to send out some early wishes of happy new year to all. And at last finally have a new year holiday in Johor. Normally, in Johor new year no holiday for the residents there, stupid rule, but luckily hari korban kerbau falls on the 31st, therefore replacing Monday as the holiday, yeah!

Oh ya, Chinese New Year must gather ya, when you all will be back?if UTM didnt rearrange the semester schedule my CNY holiday should start on the 12th for my midterm holiday and follow up by the CNY holiday.

Finally, my finals paper is over, ended earlier in the afternoon. I will be leaving JB to go back soon within a week time i hope, still need to settle down some of my FYP with my lecturer first before that. KL or Taiping? I am still deciding...

Option 1:JB>KL>Taiping(and rot there)
but as i am informed, keanyap got roadshow(working), wangli working, andrew and kahmun(rotting in Taiping), ah jin(holiday?study?exam?, update me)...and many more unknown

Option2:JB>Taiping>KL>Taiping
PIKOM PC fair on the 2nd to 4th of Dec, very tempting...

Anyhow, would be back in Taiping in december, the food, my bed, the cybercafes...haha...
There should be abundance of ppl in Taiping i guess, holiday for uni should have started for those that finish exam ady...

Hey.. last weekend, i went to watch The Departed... Guess what... It kinda sucks.... The director giving too much time talking like it was a low budget movie.... And the shifting scenes was horrible... i was lucky i saw the "original" version(hong kong).. if not, i should be snoring off like everybody else(midnight show)... Hahaha.. i put too high expectation on it.. Hey Kok Shyong... You saw the movie?? If u have not, then just buy DVD(not ori wan) la... :P

For those who were in 1 Hijau @ 1991 Primary 1 SGI, our teacher Pn. Yong had passed away on Friday, 10th of November 2006.

She was a great treacher who taught us to read & write. She used to send me to school back then. ;(

Series of weird dreams

Lately I have a series of weird dreams......maybe is a side-effect of the therapy I am going through. These are the following of my odd dreams:

A large alligator climbing up a hill nearby my house.
Aston Kutcher trying to break into my house.
I was chatting with lengching's second sister, eventhough I didn't really met her before.
I was in a church, not the Catholic type of church, some modern church, met Venoo there, he was wearing the SGI uniform with a green tie & white pants[Form 5].

Anyway, something to share with all, music....songs which currently I love to listen to:

to those who didnt go back to taiping last week - BUEKS!!! haha, you guyz missed alot of fun!!!~ pity pity. i was back for a week, kah mun was there, and he still is, living on his parents, haha~ ah cen was back in taiping too, and he caught some STD which resulted in measles and pus on his skin. yeah, gross (might be syphilis)haha~ tis was how ah cen's skin looked like:

hardly went out coz it rained everyday. heavy rain! kinda bored, especially when you had to hang out with the same old face + handicap everyday. haha~ no offence to d handicapped, coz this one is special case, right kah mun? ;-) haha~ffk paikling, coz i did promise that i'll follow her to mr.kana's house to sapu all his murukus. paikling went with kee huat, and they left without pocket money! u stingy kana. lmao~

not to forget, we had a super mini and boring gathering at kopitiam prima. kevin, diana, ah cen, jia ming, seng kitt, ken wang, ah boy, kah mun and his date, michelle, were there. diana was jealous of my hair, and she called me tweety in front of everyone . too bad, she doesnt know that my skin is way much thicker than her skin which is as thin as the membrane of tofu. hahaha. and kevin, her bf, whispered to me that she's a soh hai. weirdz, that soh hai couple love to use the term "soh hai" in their conversations. need to ask peng kan to discipline em. lmao~ well, the pearl tea there was good. helped myself wif their fantalicious grilled chicken with rosemary gravy. kah mun had to save his face, so he offered to pay for all. haha~ had a good chat wif kah mun's date, michelle, and i felt inferior talkin to her... her english was like second to none! shiiiit.

ok, had to write this to please someone. haha. kah mun and i went to RAMBO Sports Shop at larut matang, and i got myself a pair of levi's shoes!!!! haha. they're cool. sorry samuel, im not into basketball shoes coz i think they suck! lmao. and thanks to kah mun, i didnt know that that shop has been opened for more than 15 years! wth? and they sell those cool nike shoes there, and i didnt know bout it till last week! a very big THANKS to you kah mun for keeping quiet for the past 15 yrs! feel like kicking his backbone. haha! >:-D here's how d cool shoes look like. thx to gila babi for d pic. haha~

the last few days in taiping were unsatisfactory! yah, got trashed in dota, got ffk'ed by mr.bean, had to run in the rain, couldn't go to the gym thx to jia ming, and ah cen couldnt go out due to his STD. but the 40 bucks i siphoned off jia ming and ken wang made my day. :-) lmao~

Obsess

For the past few years, i have been dedicating my life to basketball. No doubt i lost some precious moments in life, but i gain some valuable ones too.
Now that i am working and stuff like exercise or work out dun really exist in my life anymore. So i decided to leave my basketball obsession alone and try to visit him once in a while.
Yes i did manage to go on without him. "But for every action causes a reaction"(something i got from matrix) my action causes me to gain obsession on shoes. yes that is right, basketball shoes. Jordans to be precise. Something that the design or something about the shoes that kept me from think about them. May be coz micheal jordan wore them and made history, or may be "money,it's gotta be the shoes".
Shoes.....
If any of u guys share the similar obsession with me, do let me know. i dun hope to die alone.. :P

Slipped Disc = Injury

And so finally I manage to get online. All thanks to Mr. Andrew Tan Min Yang to take me out from my home. For those who curious on my current location+situation. I am back in Taiping. Stuck in this town for a month now. It rains a lot lately.

Now to my condition, I have slipped disc. For those who doesn't know what the heck it is, lets just put it a simple way. A part of my vertebrata had slipped out from its original location. A disc, which is located in between the bones of my back bone, gone out of the original location. And it freaking pain.

Anyway, just give me a call when anyone of the TaipingKia is back in Taiping. I suppose I am going to be here till next year.
